    What is the difference between thin-part wig, v-part wig, i-part wig and other imitation knock offs?

    • V part, I part, true part & others are attempted copycats of the Thin Part Wig™️.
    • Unlike the imitations, the top of the patented Thin Part™️ Wig lays flat even when you move around or the wind blows. The top opening will not flap around in the wind like wings.
    • There are no humps/lumps
    • No “v” imprint visble through your leave out
    • Metal shiny wig clips will never show through your leave out or if the wind blows
    • The top opening will not slide away from your part causing a gap which results in a chrochet like appearance
    • The top opening has our True Root Mimicking Technology™️ which means it looks & behaves like your real hair roots

    What size wig cap should I order?
    Measure the circumference of your head and choose from the options below: 
    Small - 21.5 circumference 
    Medium - 22.5 circumference 
    Large - 23.5 circumference 
    If you fall in between sizes, we recommend sizing up. The wig can still be properly worn if it is larger. If it is too small you will need to make some major adjustments and will likely find it difficult to wear. 
    *Note: The wig will not be a perfect fit in the back. It has adjustable straps in the back however it may still not be a perfect fit. We recommend that you do not purchase if you desire a wig that has your exact head measurement size. 
     
    How many bundles are in each density?
    Bundle weights vary by company. We calculate bundles by 3.5-4.5oz per bundle depending on the texture. 
    150% Density = 1.5 bundles 
    180% density = approx 2 bundles depending on texture and length 
    250% density = 2.5 -3.5 bundles depending on texture & length 
    Anything above 20 inches needs 180% density or higher. Kinky straight hair is very voluminous and can therefore be ordered in 150% 12-18 inches. 


    Questions about this Texture


    I’m looking for a wig that will mimic my natural straightener hair (like a silk press), but with volume and ability to hold a curl, should I buy this texture?

    The best option for natural texture that will hold a curl is jada kinky straight. It requires more work to silk press it but it holds curls very well and will have a texture that better matches natural hair pressed out


    Can this texture handle a wet set braid out?

    Yes, however, it will not look that nice. Braid outs look best with curly textures rather than straight.


    What products would you recommend for styling the Jada texture? I like to keep a nice curl/bounce, but I can’t get it to hold.

    You can use curling iron of at least 450 degrees. Pin the curls or roll them. Then let the curls sit overnight for heat results. Or you can also try heatless curls: Use a mousse, water, curling rods, or satin roller.


    I need a natural texture that will hold a curl, should I buy this texture?

    The best option for natural texture that will hold a curl is Jada kinky straight. It requires more work to silk press it but it holds curls very well and will have a texture that better matches natural hair pressed out


    Can I apply heat to the hair? How to achieve less volume or silk pressed look?

    You can apply heat to the hair to decrease the coarseness and add a light wave. Jada is a very coarse kinky straight texture. It can be worn in its natural state or wand curled, roller set it fist ironed to achieve less volume or a silkier texture. Flat iron on high heat of at least 450 degrees if you desire a silk press look. Air drying is recommended if you want to wear the hair as coarse and full as possible. Otherwise you can blow dry. Also use a non-oil based heat protectant. Protein heat protectant with keratin is best. Protein based shampoo and conditioners are best.


    Does a roller set have to be done on wet hair or will it loosely hold curls from flexirods/sponge rollers on dry hair? Will it return to its original state after washing?

    Roller set is best on wet hair and wrapping mousse. The texture returns to its natural kinky straight state after washing and air drying.

    Can I wear the Thin-Part Wig with wig clips and no leave-out?
    Yes! We have improved the product so now you can wear it with wig clips and NO LEAVE-OUT and now no anchor braids are needed. This works on any curly textures where there is already natural volume to the hair.  Watch the new video posted under the "videos" tab above or on the "How to Install Page".
    For straighter textures with no volume you still need to use the bobby pin method or wear a thin leave-out if you want to wear it with no leave-out. Note: the Bobby pin method requires anchor braids and practice. Most of our customers who order straight textures, order the wig with wig clips and wear a thin leave-out.
     
    What are the differences between 10 virgin hair, 9 virgin hair, and 8 virgin hair?
    All of our units come with 100% Virgin Human Hair. This hair can have high heat applied and more. We offer 3 levels of virgin human hair.
    10/10 - This hair is the top virgin quality hair on the market. It can be colored and bleached and will last up to 4 years. This hair comes from women who have never colored their hair. Therefore it can take coloring and bleaching well and still allows the hair to last a long time. The wefts are triple reinforced, therefore shedding will be very minimal. The hair comes from younger donors therefore there will be no grey hairs or only a couple of strands of grey. The cuticles are aligned, which allows no matting or tangling.
    9/10 This hair can be colored up to a light brown but should not be bleached blonde. It will last up to 2.5 years. The wefts are double reinforced therefore you will experience minimal shedding. You may see more grey hairs than the 10AAA. The cuticles are aligned, therefore there will be no matting or tangling.
    8/10 - This hair should not be colored or bleached. It will last up to 1.5 yrs. The wefts are not reinforced. This hair comes from older donors who may have colored/bleached their hair at some point. Though this hair will color if attempted, we do not recommend coloring or bleaching this hair as this can decrease the lifespan of it. The cuticles are aligned, you will experience no matting or tangling.
     *Note: Curly/Kinky Curly hair is higher maintenance. The curlier or kinkier the hair, the more daily maintenance needed. Daily maintenance includes, wetting the hair and combing through it daily, being sure to comb through the roots.
     
    Can it be sewn in?
    Yes because the cap is 100% Breathable just like our 10 Minute Sew-in unit, it can be safely sewn in while allowing your scalp to properly breathe so it will not sweat or itch.
    Also note that if you want heavier densities such as 250% which is around 3-4 bundles, and you want to sew it in then we recommend you purchase the 10 Minute Sew-in and True Roots Closure instead of the Thin-Part Wig. The density of the wig will tug on your top anchor braid. Though you won’t feel uncomfortable,  it will cause your anchor braid to move away from your part. Remember, this technique requires your top two anchor braids to be right next to your part with no new growth/roots or gap. However, if you intend to wear thin strands out then you can sew-in a higher density Thin-Part Wig.
     
    Can it be clipped in?
    Yes, and with our new improved design, you do not need a leave-out to wear it with wig clips. So now it only takes seconds to install! Watch the video under the videos tabs above to see more.
     
    How often should I have my anchor braids re-braided?
    If you are wearing it as a sew-in with no leave-out or wearing it using the bobby pin method see details below on how often your braid should be redone. You do not need anchor braids with our new improved wig clip option.
    Anchor braids: With Kinky and curly hair you can go several weeks because the teasing of the roots will hide the gap that will begin to occur as your anchor braid begins to move further away from your part. With straight hair, the average is 2 weeks (if your anchor braids have hair added to it to let them stay in place longer). When your anchor braids have moved away from your part and are no longer right next to your part, but instead have a gap of your own roots (new growth) showing, then with straight textures you will need to redo the braids.
     
    What texture mimics coarse  hair that has been relaxed or silk pressed?
    Our Yaki volume and Kelsey units.
     
    I don’t see the exact texture and style I want. Can I make a custom unit?
    While we offer semi-custom units in which you can select from multiple densities, lengths, textures, sizes, and colors, we do not offer an option to completely design your unit outside of our current offerings.
     
    How is this different from a U-part wig?
    A u-part wig has a weft at the top which requires you to leave a large section of your own hair out in order to cover the weft. This requires you to blend a 3x4 section of you’re hair with the wig. This process can be difficult for some and restrictive for those who wish to wear multiple textures which may not be exactly the same as their own. Therefore it often does not look real as people can tell the difference between your hair and the wig.
    The top opening of the Thin-Part Wig mimics real hair roots. This allows you to wear your own real part with no leave-out or you can leave our thin strands. With our new improved design, you can now even wear it with clips in and wear no leave-out. If you do not want to clip it in you can wear it with no leave-out by tucking the edge of the opening under your anchor braid you can make the hair appear to be coming from your own real scalp. If you want to wear a leave-out, you can leave-out 99% less leave-out than a U-part wig. Unlike a Upart wig, if the wind blows your leave-out out of place, no track/weft will show. Instead, it will just look like the roots of your hair.

Innovative Weaves and Wigs.com is the ultimate best on the market in terms of quality, price and mostly Innovative styles that look flawless! I recently did a balayage technique on my wig bleached it twice with bond-building technology bleach and toned it. The wig sheds a little from the bleach with maintenance its still soft and flowy. I can wear it straight, wet set flexi-rod for tight curls, or wet set rollers for soft body curls like in my attached photo.

This was an investment for me but it was well worth it! I love how natural it looks. The kinky straight is a really good match for me. I blow dry my small leave out, put on a scarf for a little while to make it lay and blend and that’s pretty much it. I have 180% 24 inches. Sometimes I pass a flat iron through it on low temp just to decrease the volume some. Other than that, it’s been low maintenance. I receive compliments daily and for people who don’t know me, they ask me for tips to make their hair grow as long as mine lol. Customer service was very helpful throughout. Overall I’m extremely happy!

I spent a pretty penny on my "Ready to Ship - Jada (Kinky Straight) - Thin-Part Wig™️ 16 inch." But I have to admit, it's worth every penny. After I washed, conditioned, and flat ironed it, I installed it per the video instructions provided by IWW. It curled beautifully. I can even sleep in it a few days in a row without irritation. I am 4C and, yes, had to flat iron a thin section of leave-out to achieve the look (which the instructions are very clear about btw.). Even when my leave-out started to shrink a little, it still blended pretty well...just had to comb it out again. But anyway, very happy I gave this wig and company a chance. Very satisfied!

It is very lightweight and measurements are true to size. PLEASE measure your head before getting this AND go with the measurement that is within your range! Don't go a size down or up! I'm so used to getting other wigs from different companies that are never accurate. I measured at the edge of small by 0.5” from medium. I went to medium instead of the small they suggested and it was biiiig lol I ended up getting the wig resized and it was definitely worth it. Jada blends perfectly with my hair when I leave a small amount of leave out (I'm low maintenance and in healthcare). I also LOVE that I cannot see the tracks at the part so it's way less effort to put this baby on and go. If I take the extra time to follow the anchoring instructions, I can definitely get away with no leave out. This wig is expensive for a reason and you will definitely get your money's worth. I was buying 5+ wigs a year because of the subpar quality and those combined is more than this one. This is the lowest rating (8 out of 10), 150% density, and at 16" (I cut an inch off because, once again, am used to other companies ripping people off with inaccurate inches and this one was actually 16 inches). I dyed it black myself since the natural color was too brown (I would say it's a color 4). This is my first wig from here and I made quite a few mistakes (no fault of the company at all) and thought I'd share them here: every single thing they state on here is accurate, no cheating. Now that I know this, I will order my next wig any choosing the actual size, inches, color, and density that I want without worrying it won't be right. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

When I first got the wig I was not happy until I measured the length and washed the unit. It was longer than the 18 inches from top to bottom with 150% density. I have the 8AA quality and it washes well and I put a 1B rinse on it. It’s still good. Minimum shedding. Noticed that when I blow dried the hair it was shedding slightly. I am pleased with my hair and the knowledge of customer service. I got my hair stylist to style $ install the unit & I was completely sold on unit. Very pleased as this is my first time purchasing and actually wearing a wig. Great wig will purchase again.

I love this hair. I always get compliments when I go out and people think it’s mine! I got the 150% density and it has the prefect amount of thickness for me. The only complaint is that it does not hold curls. I put my iron on 500 degrees and they still drop too much.

The texture is great. It's so soft. It's take some time to get use to fixing the unit correctly but it is a beautiful wig. I wish they will make it also in 150 density .

I have several thin parts. I prefer the kinky straight one to the yaki. If holds curls better. The yaki one is good but I mostly wear it straight because the curls only hold if I use a lot of hair spray.
