I have really short hair, and I’m trying to nurture the growing back process. What a beautiful way to start with this. The invisible root pieces truly are magical! I do recommend clipping the clip ins to your hair and not on your scalp. You should be able to run your fingers through the clip in sections. It adds volume and you can sleep in them as long as the wig clip are not pulling on your hair. I’ve had this hair for over a year and it still looks brand new. I do not play about my hair. I have several of their hair all of them have held up great! This one is Kelsey. I use a 500 degree flat iron to silken the texture because my leave out is not as coarse as Kelsey but it’s also not silky enough for silky straight hair, so doing it this way works out perfectly. I wear a small leave out and as you can see in my picture, it still lays flat. Don’t walk, run to get you some of this hair. I’m in love! For the first time, I was able to enjoy a windy boat ride without a hat. My leave out was very small. I wasn’t worried about a track showing. Everything looked very natural as if I was wearing my real hair. The hair is soft, doesn’t tangle and matches my texture. The bold honey blond ombré color looks amazing on my skin tone. I love this hair! Im wearing a very thin leave out. It lays extremely flat. No humps. I roll it with 4 large rod rollers every night to have a light wave. Pop it on in the morning and go. This wig is most definitely an investment. Lets start there, i got Kelsey (22’ 250% density) sometime last year on sale. The hair is simply beautiful and lightweight. I am able to reach my scalp at any given time. Although expensive you wont regret it, the quality is not subpar like these other companies. Hair looks natural with leave out. You dont have to worry about heat damage since it is very minimal leave out. The natural brown is true to color, cap size is a tad bit small since i have alot of hair but not a big deal. Before I even tried it on, my hairstylist cut a hair sample underneath the base of the wig to test a color sample. She said the hair colored beautifully. I had her balayage a brownish wine color and layer it and I absolutely love the finished product!! I’m very picky when it comes to matching textures to my relaxed hair so that it’s not obvious that I’m wearing weave. I cut my hair in a bob last summer and got this wig to grow it out. My girlfriends assumed I was wearing a really good sew in. And as crazy as it may sound, the less leave out, the better and flatter the wig fits. The only thing I would do differently next time is get a size S. The medium was huge. But my base is braided down and I left a small portion of leave out on the sides and top so take those factors into account when determining size. After giving myself about 2 weeks to really learn how to work this thin part wig, I can say this is my favorite and I’m going to wear her tf out! Holds a curl very well if using a holding spray and is SUPER easy to install. My leave out blends in beautifully. I really could go on and on about this unit. Get it and give yourself time to learn the PROPER way to install. I promise you will not be disappointed. Best thing about it is you can take it off at night and pop it right back on in the morning. I think a good base under the wig will really help with attaching the clips too. I’m sold for life and will purchase another when this one is ran down. Type 4 naturals..this is the silky hair you're looking for!! If you normally wear a silky textured wig, but want to match your hair..this is it!!! I purposely took a picture with my frizzy roots and edges to show that you can still wear it days after straightening (I only flat-ironed a small section of hair ONCE, the rest is braided). You CANNOT see where my hair stops and the weave starts, not in person, not in natural light, PERIOD!! My mom even loves it on me!! and she hates wigs ok!! lol IMPORTANT NOTE: If your hair color is naturally dark like mine, I would highly recommend getting the #1 Jet Black coloring service. I thought it might be too blue/black, but it's the *perfect* black with a very slight brown. The quality of the 8AAA hair is excellent from root to tip. It's like a very light yaki by the way. I actually wanted 18 in, but got the 22 and it's super long with healthy ends..I don't really want to cut it!! It took me 4 days pf installing to figure out the minimum amount of hair to take out. Whatever amount you think you need to leave out, leave out LESS. After figuring it out, I just braided it and went to bed..the clips didn't hurt my scalp. If you want to put in curls, use the technique in the video with the satin sponge rod (with the clip and scrunchies) with the hair slightly damp. I got mine from Amazon. So far I have not applied any heat to the hair. This is an investment for sure, but if you could never quite figure out lace and don't want a traditional u-part, this is the BEST option. I'm not going back to those (unless its a very specific style...there are hd lace synthetic ones for that!) It’s a very nice unit. I chose the lowest priced version. It was my first purchase. Moving forward I would choose a more textured unit that more closely mimics my natural curly/wavy hair. It photographs very nice. Leaving a small amount of my natural hair is a huge bonus. I’ll definitely buy more wigs in the future. Upart wigs are the worst when you have to leave so much of your own hair out. I bought Kelsey in 18 inch 180% density, level 9/10 hair. This is an incredible product! Great texture. No shedding at all so far, I am super impressed. I have no complaints with the unit but here is what I wish I knew before purchasing. 180% is truly very full. I hesitated because of the length (and because of a fear of shedding, which has NOT happened) but I think 150% would have been the perfect natural look. I’m disappointed that there weren’t more and better photos available to help people make a decision given the level of investment. I scoured old YT and insta photos to try to make an informed decision and still missed the mark. So, ladies, my sense is that 150% is more DC/corporate and 180%+ is more NY/LA. In my line of work (professional in a conservative leaning environment), 180% almost feels like “bombshell” hair and I’m less confident in the unit than I want to be. The unit is gorgeous! I have lighter hair and ordered it in the color 4 and it blended beautifully with my hair which is naturally around a 2/3. The texture blends perfectly with my type 4 hair when relaxed/straightened. I love that I don't have to worry about keeping my leave-out super straight. I purchased the 250% volume in the 10/10 quality and it is so gorgeous! Cap is a little big in the back but no big deal really. My hair is a 4c, really a 4Z haha. I think I should have gone with the kinky straight. I’m still able to make it blend easy because the amount I leave out is really small. I don’t like putting high heat on my hair so I only blow dry it, which is why I think the kinky straight would have been better. I still like it.
